Full Time and Substitute Commercial Driver
Garrett Transit Service, a department of Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. is accepting applications for a Full Time and Substitute Commercial Driver. Applicants must have or be able to obtain a commercial driver license (CDL), Class C or higher with Passenger and School Bus endorsement. Must have at least five years driving experience, have an excellent driving record, and be able to pass a DOT physical examination. Garrett Transit Service is willing to help the right applicant obtain the CDL required for this position with a sign-on agreement. The applicants must be willing to complete Basic First Aid and CPR training. This position will require evening and some weekend hours when needed.
This is a safety-sensitive position, therefore successful applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random drug testing while employed. Also a copy of a current driving record will be required. The successful applicants must pass a criminal background check.

Substitute Receptionist (Admin Support)
Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc., is accepting applications for Substitute Admin Support Receptionist. This position is responsible for answering all incoming calls to the agency and connecting the caller to the correct department. Documents and scans all press information regarding the agency as well as scanning other agency documents as needed for electronic document management. Assists other departments as needed with typing. Helps visitors to the agency get to the correct area. Collect rent payments for Property Management Department.
Position Requirements: Excellent communication skills, ability to deal with a wide variety of people, and knowledge of programs. Education and Experience: Must be comfortable with computers, databases, Excel and Word. Starting amount is $11.00 per hour.

Substitutes for Classroom, LunchAid/Cook, Bus Aid and Clerical – Content Support and Content Specialist III
Garrett County Community Action Committee, Inc. is accepting applications for substitute positions (Classroom, LunchAid/Cook, Bus Aid and Clerical - Content Support and Content Specialist III), within the Division of Child and Family Development
This position is responsible for working with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old in the classroom setting, preparing and serving family style meals to children and staff, safe transportation of children in an aid role to the bus driver and performing clerical duties. Substitutes are needed in all locations of the county. Starting amount is $11.00 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications include: HS Diploma or GED, must be 19 years old, completed or be willing to complete 99 clock hours in child development and the 45 hour Infant/Toddler Certification and/or the 45 hour School Age certification. One year of experience working with children a plus. Preference given to a candidate with an AA in Early Childhood Education plus experience.
The applicant must pass a criminal background check, possess a valid driver’s license and meet other pre-employment hiring criteria.
